woman wins SatNav, four runners-up receive car-care kits in celebration of scheme’s second successful year.
A new member from TripshareEastLothian has won first prize in our free raffle, held to celebrate TripshareSEStran’s second successful year.
Linda Ritchie, who signed up with Tripshare on 6 November, was randomly selected to receive a Tom Tom Sat-Nav system worth over £150 pounds. Linda, who car shares regularly from home to work, is one of over 130 new members who are already discovering the advantages of sharing their regular commute.
SEStran Chair, Cllr Russell Imrie said:
“Congratulations to Linda for winning first prize in our competition, and also to the four lucky runners-up”.
“We decided to offer a SatNav system as first prize, because it is an ideal way of helping the winner ensure that they were using the most cost-effective route to their destination, while the runners-up will be able to use their car care kits to keep their vehicles in top condition”.
“Since the competition began, we have seen well over 100 new members sign up to TRipshareSEStran. Car sharing is becoming an increasingly attractive option to many people as fuel prices fluctuate and congestion increases on the region’s roads”.
SEStran - South East of Scotland Transport Partnership - is one of seven new Statutory Regional Transport Partnerships (RTP) created by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 and is a partnership of eight local councils covering the Borders, the Lothians, Edinburgh, Fife, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.
