SEStran Business Continuity Plan

Together with the SEStran Handbook, this Business Continuity Plan sets out the major perceived threats to Business Survival, Normal Mode of Operations (NMO) and the achievement of the Business Plan itself. It lists the Action Plans and Procedures to respond to those Threats, should they materialize as Incidents, or Situations to be managed. The BC Plan document is itself tested with live tests and subsequently reviewed, as part of SEStran’s formal BC Policy and holistic BC Program. Such testing gives SEStran the best opportunity to continue to survive and thrive in the face of all perceived potential threat types & scenarios that it faces.

SEStran Health & Safety Statement

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Flexible Retirement Policy

SEStran's policy is to operate a contractual retirement age for all employees of 65. However, SEStran will take all reasonable steps to accommodate an employee's request to continue working beyond his/her contractual retirement age.

SEStran Members Code of Conduct

The Scottish public has a high expectation of those who serve on the boards of public bodies and the way in which they should conduct themselves in undertaking their duties for the public body.

SEStran Members must meet those expectations by ensuring that their conduct is above reproach. The Code has been developed in line with the key principles listed in Section 2 and provides additional information on how the principles should be interpreted and applied in practice.

Equalities

SEStran as the new Transport Authority for South East Scotland takes its duties with regard to equalities very seriously. Since the new Authority was established at the end of 2005, SEStran have made significant progress in adopting and implementing policies in the human resources area which have equalities of opportunity enshrined within them.

In addition a major theme within SEStran’s Regional Transport Strategy is equality of access to transport facilities and through that to jobs, health care, education, shopping and social activities.
