Regional Transport Strategy - Strategic Environmental Assessment Report
SEStran complies fully with the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (‘the EIRs’). The new regulations ensure that Scotland complies with the Convention and the Directive that was signed by the UK in 1998. There are separate regulations for Scotland to the rest of the UK.
The business plan sets out SEStrans' proposals for transport investment over the three financial years of 2008/9, 2009/10 & 2010/11 and defines how we will move forward in implementing our Regional Transport Strategy (RTS).

The guide offers cycle infrastructure design guidance to help Local Authorities, developers and other stakeholders involved in providing new cycling infrastructure; whether specifically for cycling or for taking cycling into account for all forms of transportation infrastructure.
Our draft Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) was originally submitted to the Scottish Executive, for ministerial approval on 30th March 2007. It is a blueprint for transport development in South East Scotland for the 21st century, which will form the core of our work for the next 15 years. SEStran and all of the Regional Transport Partnerships were subsequently required to resubmit their Regional Transport Strategies. A copy of the revised strategy is available through the link below
